Miami, FL (August 18, 2026) – The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (LSHOF) today announced the 2026 inductees, special honorees and hosts for the 13th Annual LA MUSA Awards, taking place Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at The Flamingo Theater in Miami.
Acclaimed actor Jason Canela and singer-songwriter MORIAH will host this year’s ceremony, which will celebrate the songwriters, composers, producers and music creators whose work has made a lasting impact on Latin music and culture.
The 2026 Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees are Yoel Henríquez, Danny Daniel, Kike Santander, Sergio George, Mario Quintero Lara, and Gian Marco, representing a diverse cross-section of Latin music and songwriting, from salsa and tropical music to Latin pop, regional Mexican music and the singer-songwriter tradition.
The evening will also recognize Lupita Infante with the LA MUSA Elena Casals Award; Marti Cuevas, founder of Mayimba Music, with the Ralph S. Peer Publishers Award; Beth Matthews, Chief Executive Officer of ASCAP, with the Founders Award; and the legendary Celia Cruz, who will be honored posthumously with the Premio Legado.

Founded in 2012 by acclaimed songwriter-producers Desmond Child and Rudy Pérez, the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame honors the creators behind Latin music’s most enduring songs while fostering the next generation of songwriting talent through educational initiatives, scholarships and professional development programs.
The 2026 LA MUSA Awards will bring together celebrated songwriters, recording artists, producers, music publishers, executives and industry leaders for an evening dedicated to recognizing the creators and cultural figures who have helped define Latin music and expand its influence around the world.

Puerto Rican songwriter Yoel Henríquez is recognized for a distinguished career spanning multiple genres and collaborations with leading Latin artists. His induction honors his contributions to Puerto Rico’s songwriting tradition and his impact on contemporary Latin music.
DANNY DANIEL
Spanish singer-songwriter Danny Daniel has built an enduring career through romantic compositions that became standards across Spain, Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. His songwriting has resonated across generations, establishing him as an influential voice in Spanish-language popular music.
KIKE SANTANDER
Colombian songwriter, composer and producer Kike Santander has played a defining role in the international success of Latin pop. His extensive catalog includes collaborations with many of the genre’s most influential artists, and his work has helped shape contemporary Latin music for more than three decades.
SERGIO GEORGE
Producer, arranger, pianist and songwriter Sergio George has played a pivotal role in the evolution and global reach of salsa and tropical music. Through decades of acclaimed productions, collaborations and artist development, his work has contributed significantly to bringing Latin tropical music to audiences worldwide.
MARIO QUINTERO LARA
Mexican songwriter Mario Quintero Lara is recognized for his prolific catalog and enduring influence on regional Mexican music. His compositions have connected with generations of listeners and have become an important part of the genre’s musical legacy in Mexico and the United States.
GIAN MARCO
Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco has built an internationally respected career as both a composer and recording artist. His songs have been recorded and performed by leading Latin artists, establishing him as one of Peru’s most prominent songwriting voices and a significant figure in Latin popular music.

Lupita Infante will receive the LA MUSA Elena Casals Award in recognition of her work preserving and advancing the traditions of Mexican music while forging her own artistic identity and introducing that musical heritage to new generations.
MARTI CUEVAS / MAYIMBA MUSIC — RALPH S. PEER PUBLISHERS AWARD
Marti Cuevas, founder of Mayimba Music, will receive the Ralph S. Peer Publishers Award for her contributions to music publishing and her long-standing commitment to supporting songwriters, composers and their creative work.
BETH MATTHEWS / ASCAP — FOUNDERS AWARD
Beth Matthews, Chief Executive Officer of ASCAP, will receive the Founders Award in recognition of her leadership and longstanding commitment to protecting, supporting and advancing the interests of songwriters, composers and music publishers.
CELIA CRUZ — PREMIO LEGADO (POSTHUMOUSLY)
The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame will honor Celia Cruz posthumously with the Premio Legado, recognizing her extraordinary cultural and musical legacy. Celebrated worldwide as the “Queen of Salsa,” Cruz became one of the most influential and recognizable voices in Latin music during a career spanning more than five decades. Her unmistakable voice, artistry and international presence helped bring Afro-Cuban music and salsa to audiences around the world, and her influence continues to resonate with generations of artists and fans.
