The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame is extremely saddened by the passing of our dear friend and legendary performing artist Natalie Cole. In 2013 at our inaugural LA MUSA AWARDS, Natalie accepted the “Premio Pionero Desi Arnaz” (“Desi Arnaz Pioneer Award”) in honor of her father the great Nat King Cole and performed the timeless ballad “Acércate Más” written by the late Cuban composer Osvaldo Farrés in a touching virtual duet with her father on the screen. Rudy Pérez produced Natalie Cole’s final album En Español which is a tribute to Nat King Cole’s three Spanish language albums which first introduced some of the greatest songs of all time in Latin music to the rest of the world.

Natalie tu siempre serás inolvidable… UNFORGETTABLE
